The Reid Rooms, is an award winning wedding venue at Margaret Roding, near Chelmsford, on the Essex/Hertfordshire border. Originally built nearly 200 years ago as stables for the working horses on Marks Hall Farm. The Reid Rooms provides a unique rural setting combining the best of modern facilities with timeless charm. Yep, that was copied straight from their website. However, I agree with everything they say, it’s a delightful Essex Wedding Venue.
Last year, during one of our hottest summers ever here in the UK, I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Jenny and Steven at this lovely Essex venue. The couple were married in The Meadow Pavilion. This is basically a Pavilion in the middle of a field surrounded by beautiful Essex countryside. As you can see, guests are transported to The Meadow Pavilion on decorated tractors and trailers as part of the countryside experience.
There are numerous opportunities for wedding photographs at The Reid Rooms. Therefore, we made good use of the many fantastic backdrops, especially as the weather was so sunny that day. With the weather being so hot it was nice to get out of the sun for the wedding buffet and speeches. The Reid Rooms has plenty of space for people to spread out and have fun in around the courtyard and function rooms. As evening fell, along with the temperature, it was nice to wander around for a few more shots with the Jenny and Steven alone. Below are a few of my favourite images from this lovely wedding.
This year I will be back at The Reid Rooms again in July, I do hope it’s not quite so warm.
